St. Lucia is undeniably one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean. It is a perfect blend of modernization and wonders. This place is also home to the most beautiful rainforest, waterfalls, and pristine beaches. Don’t know what to do in St. Lucia? Here are some of the best things to do when you visit this beautiful city.
Visit the Marigot Bay
Marigot Bay is a popular harbour in St. Lucia that offers the most natural view of the Atlantic Ocean. You can go here to just watch the view or rent a boat to sail. You can also take photos of the wide array of sailboats and yachts. The waterside lunch is also a nice activity to try. You can grab a glass of wine from the nearby restaurant and toast at sunset or have a classy dinner with your significant other.
Treat yourself with a Spa
The best way to get around St. Lucia is to simply relax. Just about every large resort in St. Lucia has a spa in them where you can savour a relaxing massage and spa. You can head to the northern tip and try Body Holiday, which is a popular choice by many travellers. The Sugar Beach and Viceroy Report are also major options.
Trek to the Toraille Waterfall
The Toraille Waterfall is located inland of Soufriere. Many travellers would come here to try a refreshing plunge into the cold blue waters. The falls is about 50 feet which means it is really deep. Make sure you have good swimming skills when you visit the falls. Around the falls are lush tropical gardens where you are free to meander and take awesome pictures.
Hike in the Rainforest
Well, St. Lucia is not just about beaches and resorts. It also boasts 19,000 acres of rainforest which you can enter for free. If you are game for some adventures, the best way to start is to hike to Edmund Forest Reserve which is accessible from Fond St. Jacques just east of Soufriere. Before you can hike, you need permission from the Forestry Department and a guide.
Climb the Piton
The Piton is a World Heritage Site which is 2, 619 feet high. Climbing this iconic symbol is not just a personal achievement but it is also one way to experience St. Lucia’s adventurous side. All you need to be able to climb the place is a permit from the forestry department and a guide.
In summary, St. Lucia is one of the most beautiful places on earth. We took a week long all-inclusive vacation with friends we run out business (Chandler Painting Pros) with in Arizona, and we had an absolute blast.
